I recently had the pleasure of working with Riley Construction Works for the construction of my downstairs bathroom and the renovation of my kitchen and living room. From start to finish, their team displayed an unwavering commitment to excellence, delivering outstanding results that exceeded my expectations. Integrity, reliable and client focused. These three words reflect our experience of Riley Construction. We were very impressed before we even agreed to Riley Construction doing the work. Nick who leads this family business is very knowledgeable and is happy to give advice and tips throughout. We spoke to some of Nick's previous clients and we were able to see one of his client's homes nearby and view the high standard of works they had undertaken by Riley Construction. The clients spoke very highly of Nick and his team and we now know why!

Integrity - any issues encountered along the way were immediately addressed and resolved by Nick. Nick takes personal responsibility and is all about doing the right thing; this was very apparent.

Reliable - the team was very reliable and we had the same core team. Having that continuity throughout was comforting to us. We have to mention Luke, Rob and Michael, a great trio and we met a few extra team members from time to time when extra help was needed. The team is a credit to Riley Construction and they also gave us tips and advice!

Client focused - this is definitely one of Riley Construction's sweet spots, they were understanding of our circumstances and our needs. Whilst we didn't have a project manager Nick would communicate with us weekly to let us know what was happening if steels were being delivered, delivery of tiles and the cost and consequences of certain ad hoc decisions throughout the work. Riley Construction also supported us with sourcing a glass balcony this was thanks to the sterling work of his colleague Lauren.

Our works were for 3 months, removal of existing non compliant eaves rooms replaced with new loft rooms and a brand new roof!

We engaged the services of Nick and his team for a significant kitchen extension project lasting around 6 months.  Really happy that we chose Riley Construction for a number of reasons:

- Put simply, Nick was a great project manager.  He was excellent on the communication side, keeping us informed all the way.  He was also really interested in making sure that everything turned out exactly to our specification, keeping us very involved in decision making (even the fine details).   When problems popped up (they inevitably do on a project this size), he always had sound advice around the solution and took the time to help us understand the options.

- All of Nick’s own guys are highly skilled and Nick also has a great network of additional contractors for specialist work.  This shows is the quality of the workmanship.

-At least somebody was on site nearly every working day until the project completed (we didn’t have any material periods of inactivity).

-Nick’s team are all polite, friendly, considerate and tidy.  This really helped us make it easier to remain living in the property while the work was finishing up.

We engaged the services of Riley Construction Ltd to build a large side and rear extension to our property. Nick won the tender because of his excellent communication skills which he continued to demonstrate throughout the 12 months of building work. Importantly for such a big project the entire team were a delight to have around and the workmanship was excellent. We had a few supply issues along the way (as did the whole building trade) but Nick navigated them superbly, searching for more viable alternatives and keeping us informed. As with all big projects there are variations to the original plan and Nick was very accommodating, always happy to advise and adjust accordingly. When we were looking for a contractor our architect suggested Riley construction. We were told a father son led company where the father is taking the back seat and is the middle of handing over the reins to his son Nick. We were little apprehensive but then met Nick. The moment we met him we knew he was the cleverest of the five contractor we had met so far. There was a risk but hands on hearts what a risk we took and how well it paid off we only know! We have never met such a meticulous, professional, patient and above all such a polite contractor. Nick and co also turned out to be a huge value for money for us. Ours was a big job (loft conversion, ground floor extension and garage conversion. We can vouch on his work. Happy to be contacted by anyone who wants an endorsement on his work. Following the first project, Nick also delivered another project, which was redoing a flat, for us. God Bless you Nick, God Bless Riley Construction!

This was our first big renovation project and we were initially apprehensive about doing the work. Nick understood our brief and put us at ease. His communication, efficiency and building knowledge was far superior to any other contractors we had been involved with and he immediately won the tender.

Nick and his team worked tirelessly throughout the project to build our dream home. They were always prompt, hardworking, friendly and most importantly tidy!! It was clear that him and his team took such care and pride in their work.

Nick and his team were always present if we had any questions or concerns and were able to problem solve when needed. We were always kept in the loop and involved in all decisions no matter how big or small.

Nick’s eye for detail is second to none and he ensured that the job was finished to a very high standard. He took care of our project as if it was his own. This type of workmanship is incredibly hard to find.

We are so very grateful for the work you have put into our project and appreciate how much “hard graft” went into it. We are now enjoying our beautiful family home.

So thank you Nick, Andy, Eddie, Jamie, all the Johns and many others who contributed to the team to create such a successful build! We’ll see you in a few years time for our loft extension!!

We were very pleased with Nick and his team who brought to life our designs for a side extension to our kitchen. The space was tight and we wanted some unusual details and finishes but nothing was too awkward for Nick to include. The guys were great to have around - always polite, friendly and above all tidy. Nick was superb at communicating with us throughout the project and finding solutions, both within the final integration of the kitchen and to any issues that came up.
